Ogden Temple 8 Color Linocut in the Works
I am working on a linocut of the old Ogden Temple which will be carved from 8 plates and will therrefore include 8 colors. I am using Adobe Photoshop CS3 to create it in the computer. Right now, it has about 50 colors and 50 layers. I have to gradually simplify it. |

Dad Plays with Kids 3 Color Linocut
I really am a linocutter, but nobody would know it, because I haven't been producing. I am working on a linocut entitled, "Look, Mommy! Daddy is Funny!" It is my first family-themed multicolor print. It will have 3 colors and lots of fun texture. 3 plates are carved already, the paper is ready. I have yet to find the time to print them. My Fine Artist Goal is to have this 3 color linocut printed by the end of the year!
I have tried to print it a few times, but the colors were all wrong. I had to order better and more, colors. The inks were delivered by Dick Blick a couple weeks ago. |
